GENESEO, ILL. (6/6/23) – The Armory Life is pleased to announce the release of the Summer 2023 issue of The Armory Life print magazine, featuring a cover story interview with MACV-SOG’s Major John L. Plaster. This quarterly print magazine complements the daily digital content available on TheArmoryLife.com.

Since its launch more than four years ago, The Armory Life website has proven to be an outstanding resource for firearms-oriented content. It delivers exciting and in-depth daily posts created by some of today’s most respected experts in the firearms community. And with the launch of the full-color, 96-page quarterly print magazine in 2021, fans of The Armory Life were given an entirely new medium for consuming this content.

The Summer 2023 issue features Major Plaster on the cover holding a highly customized “Crazy Horse” M1A rifle, done by no less than the M1A/M14 experts at Smith Enterprise, Inc. The issue has a fascinating in-depth interview with Major Plaster, as well as a full review of the custom M1A rifle.

In addition, the issue features informative articles on our 10,000-round torture test of the 1911 DS Prodigy, the Hellion’s sophisticated back-up iron sights (and how to use them properly), Federal Custom Shop ammunition, a journey into the Alaskan wilderness, and much more.

The print magazine is designed to integrate closely with its digital sibling website, featuring easy-to-use QR codes throughout. Simply open up your camera app on your smartphone and scan the code, and you’ll be taken online to expanded content and video segments.

Recipients of The Armory Life print magazine are selected from Springfield Armory warranty registrants. Currently, these subscribers receive two-year’s worth (eight issues) of the magazine.

“We are truly humbled to have had the opportunity to interview a person as revered and respected as Major John L. Plaster for this issue,” said Mike Humphries, editor-in-chief of the magazine. “This piece, backed up by a full range of beautifully illustrated and informative articles, makes for what we believe is yet another must-read issue of The Armory Life print magazine.”
