Springfield Armory® Names Fred Mincks as LE Sales Manager
GENESEO, ILL. (02/15/21) – Springfield Armory® is pleased to announce the hiring of Fred Mincks as its Law Enforcement Sales Manager.
Mincks comes most recently from the corporate policing world, where he was the Lead Investigator for John Deere’s World Headquarters in Moline, Illinois. Before working for John Deere, Mincks had a distinguished 21-year career in law enforcement in Illinois, retiring as a Senior Operations Sergeant at the Moline Police Department in 2018.
“The opportunity to join the Springfield Armory family is truly an honor,” Mincks says. “I’ve long been a fan of Springfield products and am very excited to be part of the team. I look forward to supporting all our heroes and the LE team in this new position.”
Mincks’ law enforcement career included positions as a Criminal Investigations Detective, SWAT Team Leader, DEA Clandestine Laboratory Site Safety Officer, and Street Crimes Detective, among others. Mincks is a certified Master Firearms Instructor and is a proud former member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Police Benevolent and Protective Association.
Throughout his career, he received training from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, Illinois State Police Academy, and the University of Illinois. Before joining the police force, Mincks served in the U.S. Army for six years, where he earned his Combat Infantryman Badge during the invasion of Panama. He was a Team Leader and a Non-Commissioned Officers in Charge of Company Arms Room before his honorable discharge at the rank of sergeant in 1990.
