FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GENESEO, ILL. (07/23/20) – Springfield Armory is proud to announce its partnership with nonprofit Luke’s Wings during these challenging times surrounding COVID-19.

Springfield Armory is selling logo non-medical grade masks on their web store with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Luke’s Wings, a nonprofit that provides complimentary airfare to reunite wounded, ill and injured service members with their families. Recent concerns surrounding travel and COVID-19 has greatly impacted the organization’s mission.

“For so many of our beneficiaries, this means extended time between critical visits from loved ones as they recover at military medical centers across the country,” explains Lindsay Gill, Executive Director of Luke’s Wings. “As our nation cautiously returns to normal, warrior families are eager, now more than ever, to be reunited with their heroes.”

“In order to support our wounded, ill, and injured service members, it is critical to raise the resources needed to book these flights in the coming weeks,” says Gill.

The Springfield Armory masks sell as a pack of two for $19.99, with all proceeds going directly to the airfare cost for Luke’s Wings. Customers who buy these masks will be supporting the organization with an expected 25 flights to reunite military members with their loved ones.

Springfield Armory is also offering free shipping on these masks with code MASK entered at checkout.

“We are honored to be part of an effort that can make a lasting impact on our military members and their families, especially under such trying circumstances,” says Stefany Reese Toomer, Brand Communications Manager for Springfield Armory. “It’s a gesture of gratitude for those brave individuals who sacrifice so much for us.”
